A design and technology studio focused on one thing: simplifying complexity so your products are easier to use and to sell.
Tesler Lab was born from a recurring frustration: seeing how digital projects with great ideas failed due to design problems that could have been detected before writing a single line of code.
Teams that invested months of development only to discover the product wasn't intuitive. Companies that launched websites that didn't convert. Brands that couldn't communicate their value clearly.
We decided to solve that from the design side. We do web design that converts, coherent brand identity and prototypes that validate before building. Brand and product designed as one system.
Today we are a focused design studio: web, graphic and prototypes, under one roof.
Our name is no coincidence. Larry Tesler was a computer scientist pioneer in user interfaces. He formulated a principle that guides everything we do:
"Every application has an inherent amount of irreducible complexity. The only question is: who will have to deal with it?"
— Larry Tesler
This means that a system's complexity doesn't disappear: someone absorbs it. It can be the user (bad experience) or the product design (good experience).
Our job is to transfer that complexity from the user to the product. The interface is simple not because the problem is simple, but because we did the design work necessary to make it seem that way.
This philosophy applies to everything: a prototype, a website, a visual identity. Every design decision aims to reduce the cognitive load on the end user.
Principles that guide every project we take on.
No surprises. We share progress in real time, explain every design decision and maintain open communication throughout the process. If something doesn't work, we say so.
We don't wait until the end to show results. We work in short cycles where each iteration incorporates real feedback. This reduces risk and ensures the final result is the right one.
A beautiful design that doesn't meet its goal is a failure. Every visual decision is tied to a business metric: conversion, clarity, speed or retention.
We hand everything over organized: documentation, usage guides and assets. Your team can implement or iterate without depending on us.
We choose each tool for a reason. Here are the ones we use every day and why.
